By donating to the United Way campaign, you ensure that your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors will have the help they need in times of trouble. Our mission is impacting our community through unified fundraising, resource allocation and training for local agencies. United Way, through its 15 member agencies, helps over 31,000 people in Lawrence County. Nine of our member agencies also serve residents of Orange and Martin Counties. 99% of all the money raised here, stays here.
Through United Way and its member agencies, donors help provide frail and lonely seniors with a warm place to go, hot meals, and good friends. Your donation helps provide activities, sports, homework help and mentoring for local children and teens. Your gift ensures that people will get the help they need in a disaster, whether that is a hot cup of coffee, a much needed meal, clothing, or a place to stay. People with disabilities of all kinds receive support, job training, and the chance to learn independent living skills.
