Captain Dan Wise and Armando were chefs in the Industrial division, representing Crane. They went up against GM's Paul and Patty Ford in the seafood category.
 
Taste of Lawrence County- 2004
“A Community That Cares” Campaign Kick-Off, August 14, 2004 at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds. Over 500 people attended the Taste and had a great time tasting excellent food at 10 local restaurants. There were member agency booths, vendor booths, entertainment for kids and adults alike, and a Limestone Chef Celebrity Grill-Off. The Taste brought in over $5,000—a great kickoff for our campaign.

GM Car Show
Many people visited the car show and enjoyed the restaurants that provided samplings of their fare, the vendor booths, including United Way, and the fun activities and entertainment such as the Perfection on Wheels Bicycle Stunt Team.
 
The GM team (above) played a great game, but the Bloomfield Bank team won with the best score. Everyone had a great time!
 
1st Annual “Golfers That Care” Golf Scramble September 28th
Sponsors included GM, Jackson County Bank, Hoosier Hills Credit Union and Hubler Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Cadillac. Eight 4 person teams participated. Best score went to the Bloomfield State Bank team. It was a gorgeous day and a wonderful time was had by all! The event, hosted by Dave Ford, Chair of the Retail Division of the campaign cabinet, raised $2338 for the campaign.
 
Bedford Ford Quick Lane Youth Program
$1.00 from every Lube service donated to a organization that serves the community youths. This effort by Bedford raised $167 for the United Way Campaign.
 
The GM Powertrain/UAW/IBEW United Way campaign
Hit their goal of $160,000 the very first day of the campaign! By the end of the three day campaign, they had raised over $180,000! $162,168.84 will go to United Way of Lawrence County.

Visteon Presentations- From October 19 – October 29
United Way of Lawrence County agencies and supporters gave many presentations about the UWLC and it’s member agencies. Visteon surpassed its goal this year of $70,000!.
